Hello, I’m Paula
I’m the founder of Free Soul Yoga, yoga teacher and HealthRHYTHMS®drum circle facilitator.
It is my deepest desire to create a space where all people – all races, cultures, sizes, shapes and ages feel free to practice and experience the transforming power of yoga, music and the Holy Spirit.
I am a free spirit and empath and God has given me the Seer gift. Yet most of my life, I spent trying to fit a mold formed by outside judgment and expectations. My professional career was mostly filled with high-stress jobs and I was a single parent. When I took my first yoga class at Yahweh Yoga, my life began to change.
Eventually, through the practice of yoga, focusing on mind, body and spirit, a greater unfolding began to occur. On this path, I gained a new level of self-acceptance that helped me break free and be in tune with my true self. In 2017, I was called to teach.
I’m a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, 200 hour Yahweh Yoga Teacher, and certified Buti yoga instructor -- specializing in Hatha and Buti yoga and Christ-centered classes.
I’m also the founder of Beat for Life, a 7-year old drum circle facilitation company, and have facilitated drum circles for many organizations and wellness groups in AZ and other states. See partial list here. I believe that rhythm is innate to everyone and that music and drumming are not only natural and joyful experiences but powerful tools for transformation.
Lastly, I hold graduate and undergraduate degrees from Grand Canyon University and am a member of the Global Network of Expressive Arts Facilitators. Besides yoga, my passions are traveling, hiking, music, and dancing.
I look forward to seeing you on the mat!
